How long does it take to design a web site?

It depends on the number of pages and the complexity of the pages.  Not all pages are created equal.  A page like this one is not considered complex because it utilizes a content management system and is mainly text, has few pictures, no flash, no video, no animation and no sound.

It also depends on your budget and your desired timeframe for completion.  Some peple want a website completed as soon as possible but are not willing to pay a premium to move to the top of the list.  Most sites that are 5 pages or less are done in 2-3 days but we don't promise that because sometimes factors beyond our control arise or the client doesn't immediately respond to our questions or feedback.

Sites with more than 5 pages tend to have the other features mentioned or perhaps event an event calendar, shopping cart, e-commerce with extensive database, photo galley with lots of photos, etc.  Those sites take longer.
